Our Role
Financial Oversight and Budget Management
The Committee oversees the Village’s overall financial health and fiscal integrity. This includes reviewing and monitoring the annual budget, evaluating proposed appropriations and ensuring that expenditures align with approved financial plans and Village priorities.
Revenue, Tax Levy, and Long-Term Planning
The Committee reviews and recommends the annual tax levy and monitors revenue sources to ensure they are sufficient to meet operational and capital needs. It also supports long-term financial planning to promote stability, sustainability and responsible stewardship of Village resources.
Financial Policies, Reporting, and Audits
The Committee reviews financial policies and procedures, monitors compliance, and examines financial reports and audit findings. Through this work, it helps maintain transparency, accountability and adherence to best practices in managing public funds.
Insurance and Risk Management
